^w^ Back from an unplanned little hiatus!
And I return with a few winter nature things! Firstly, some adorable patches of these fungal weirdos I found while hiking with the dad and dad-friend and dad-friend's dog-friend today. XD These are Calostoma lutesens--a sac fungi that vaguely resembles puffballs and is pretty obscure, but common. (And ya, if you squish the little boob-ish things, they poof out white spores X3)
There were GADS of these on the Yaccer's Run Trail, Longdale Recreational Area (a National Forest area which is sadly being left to rot by the forest service despite its significant history and natural beauty).

What are these mushies usually used for?

OP
^u^ They're mainly used for beautifying a natural area and making good weirdo photographer and nature-enthusiast bait! X3 They're otherwise inedible.
