I agree with V.Kyrie, She's lovely but you're going to hate drawing those stripes over and over.

The main ones of issue will probably be her face and neck since those will have to remain constant. The arms/legs tend to be a lot easier since I can generally just got "wheeee!" with them and not worry if they match up. But yeah. She is definately not a character I intend to have all the time showing up. :U

You should have a cross between a zebra and a leopard-peacock with a liking for minimalist chequered clothing.

In the meantime I'll sit here and approve of your current submission, you may not think highly of yourself, but your level of polish and colouring style are things that are to be commended and looked up upon by the art appreciating public as a whole.
Furthermore, there should be a street or tunnel system named after you.

Are hands hard for you to draw?

I'm actually relatively neutral to hands. I don't know if I'm any GOOD at drawing them, but I lack the aggravation and hatred that most artists tend to have in regards to drawing hands.

Again, who's to blame for all of these fun, hard-to-draw characters? Next thing you know, you'll have come up with a cheetah character. And won't that be fun?

Oh, wait. My mistake. I got cheetahs and leopards mixed up. I meant leopards, the cats whose spots are more like between three and five smaller spots close together, with that gap in the middle.

Very nice design! I would reduce the contrast of and lighten the background though - I was kinda losing some of her legs and neck in the patterns in the back. Excellent, excellent piece!

I like the crossbreed. You've got enough features from both parents that it's obvious what she is, while still being unobtrusive. It's a very clean design, very nice. Then again, you could make the Dan/Matilda love child design work...

I did that once, though his coloration was different. It's an interesting result, though :)

And yeah... You can go a long way towards simplifying those stripes if you want to. Repeating the neck pattern all around would probably do the trick. :)

I remember seeing you use a similar picture for filler once a while back, it's nice to see you are trying to branch out, but just remember, when art becomes a chore instead of fun, then your heart isn't behind it. don't force yourself into the comic. alot will be sad if it ended, but if you run out of material and go into too many side stories, well, then it's no longer the same story.

This particular story is actually set to be in a completely different universe and not a part of DMFA at all. The only thing it will be replacing is the time-slot that Abel's Story takes up. So I'm not too worried about DMFA spreading too thin.

Really, while I enjoy DMFA a lot, I have been wanting to branch out and do a couple other comic stories for a while. And while I'm aware that one should never make ones enjoyment a chore, if one never challenges oneself...then it is just as bad since it will just cause stagnation.
