In one if its more... interesting commissions, the ISIS DFC accepted a contract from the Vulpinian Legacy to create a cost effective ballistics vest for its main line troops.

Though this seems like a standard contract, it must be taken into account that of the citizens of Vulpinia, due to an 'evolutionary fluke', the male:female ratio is 2:1. As such, the competitive atmosphere caused further 'flukes'... namely that the curves and 'assets' of the females are far larger on average than most other peoples in the Endeavor Sea region (save the fennec foxes of Zerda, where the case is similar). Owing to this, the few former state-run attempts at solving the "Vulpinian Problem" when searching for vixen-portable protection failed rather miserably as the products of such attempts were uncomfortable or unprotected. ISIS was contacted to rectify the situation.

The design is based on 7 ballistics plates on movable slats. The slats are contained on the interior of the polymer fiber lining, which provides mild protection against smaller shrapnel but not bullets. The plates are rated to stop small-arms fire, and rifle fire if the wearer is lucky; the Legacy government wanted something to protect their soldiers enough to be of use on the battlefield before death (due to cost constraints), nothing more.
