I think it started with a brain switching device mentioned in a recent Once and Future comic, then someone in the K-girl Q&A thread asked what would happen if Maisy got her hands on such a device. Someone else brought up Mia and Zoe switching bodies and a "Ninja-Mazinger". I happened to have a ninja outfit I was waiting for an excuse to use and this was the result.
