I've been on a roll with paintings as of late. I'm enjoying myself. :)
[obligatory ramble about how the 1998 movie sucks and all that]
I decided to do a painting of Zilla ‘98 because frankly, I haven't seen much traditional art of him, especially as a painting. And seeing as how this year marks the 20th anniversary of the movie, I'd at least show some respect to the design, which I do have a soft spot for.
I certainly had some fun with the colors, using blue as a base, tan and light blue for highlights, and green for undertones. And the green and purple backdrop was to give a "mutated" vibe.

This movie would have been on the same level as Jurassic park if it was 90% Zilla and the other 10% can be France.
The France were the only actors who were not annoying in this movie. Such a shame, Zilla is the coolest kaiju. It was such a waste that we did not get more of him.
