Well, I do dog rescue out of my home here in New Mexico. I haven't taken in any new fosters in nearly a year, due to the fact that I've had one of my fosters for over a year, and I needed to dedicate all my concentration on finding her a home.

That said, tonight a vet tech I used to work with came to my house with her friend--small six week old puppy cradled in her arms. She said she remembered that I did rescue, and was wondering if I was still taking in animals.

They found the pup running down the highway with her mom. When they stopped, the momma ran away but they managed to catch the puppy.

Looking into those dark, needy eyes--how could I refuse? I never can when I look into their innocent faces.

I'm calling her Fayre until I get to know her personality better. If Fayre doesn't fit her, then I'll probably call her something else.

I'm such a sucker for a pair of big brown eyes.
