I've been trying my hand with macro art, but the backgrounds and the pov angles are difficult.

Thanks for the nice comment. Its definably a challenge to merge the Macro and background together.
I don't have any current tips, however deep in my gallery there is an old attempt to explain it.

I'm certainly try to use this soon enough for some practice, and I don't think the grammar is poor at all.
I would ask if you plan on making a new version of this given your new insights with the 9 years experience after the old piece.
You have learned much more, and I am sure you could teach a lot.
