- He was a pirate captain who'd fallen in love with his first mate, and the two were very happy, but behind his back his first mate had been arranging meetings with a rival pirate and ultimately they sold him out.
- The rival pirate ambushed the ship and took him and his crew prisoner, after endlessly torturing, with his own lover even joining in to salt the wounds, he was ultimately chained to an anchor and thrown overboard right in front of his crew.
- He, of course, died but the anger and betrayal that he felt was enough to anchor his soul to the earth and now he walks among it as a spirit, seeking vengeance.
- Before his death he as a very chipper and optimistic person, even stupidly so at times. No matter how hard life got him down he always had a smile on his face, some even say he may have died with one too.
