So I've been working on something for quite a while now that started as a terrible NaNoWriMo novel many years ago and has since ballooned in to quite an extensive universe I've developed for a table top roleplaying game, named Indigo Surf. I've developed out the game world quite extensively and built it on top of Chaosium's Basic Roleplaying d100 system (the foundation for Call of Cthulhu and Ringworld game series) to provide the foundation rule set, while also drawing inspiration from the likes of Star Trek, Eclipse Phase, the Culture book series and various other sci-fi things I've consumed throughout the years!

Sci-fi in nature with an optimistic space opera style, its a world set at the fledgling beginnings of an interstellar alliance, exploration and diving head first in to both the awkwardness of new interspecies co-operation and the strangeness of the galaxy!

It features five major playable organic races: Humans, Dironians, Brandar, Lindevi and Sen. And two artificial life races, Synthetics, and Lightforms.

Starting with this picture I've commissioned   oddthesungod to draw each of them in turn to provide reference for them!

Humans are one of the two founder races of the ‘Manifold Alliance’, the beginnings of a federation or union like arrangement between themselves and the Dironians. After the growing pains of past centuries, they’ve stabilised to be largely democratic and many are now explorers, bio-engineers and space habitat builders, trying to unlock the mysteries of the galaxy.
