It was early May and the Hanami (Sakura festival) was in full speed. The bordello had almost double the clientele, mostly spoiled young hotspurs from the surrounding noble houses looking for a good time. Hiroyuki didn’t care, if they paid for his time, they could be the Emperor or a similar god.
“I don’t care if your great-grandfather was at the battle of Tennoji! You can’t pay, you can’t stay!”, He scolded a young arctic fox who had wanted to spend some time with him. The young man had the guts to demand he’d do it for free as his ancestor was this great war hero back in the day.
The guards arrived quickly to the bordello to “persuade” the young one to leave, being connected to the imperial palace had its uses, even if it was dull work most of the time.
“Come along here, young Sir. No need to embarrass your family even more than you already have”, one of the guards told the fox as he led him outside. Hiroyuki huffed and lit his kiseru and took a deep breath.
“Brats”, he said to himself and puffed on the kiseru. It was still early, and the next client in line was a rather obese fox.
“Great, another merchant”, Hiroyuki thought to himself, they often had some weird kinks, but they paid good and, thankfully, didn’t have a lot of stamina.
“Welcome to the Rose garden, we’re honoured by your presences”, he said and bowed as politely as possible. “What can I do for you, My lord?”
The wide grin over the fat merchant sent shivers down Hiroyuki’s spine.
After what seemed like forever, the fat merchant was finally satisfied and left, and hefty sum lighter in his purse and Hiroyuki with pains in muscles he didn’t know he had. He went to his quarters and sprayed some perfume on him, covering the worst of the smell, before returning to the reception hall.
There, a very unexpected but welcome sight greeted him. A wolf, brown hair and blueish purple eyes, dressed in a Montsuki (Formal wear) consisting of a silver/grey Hakama, Purple kimono and a black Haori.
“You look a little rough around the edges, Hiroyuki-san”, the wolf said with a smile and bowed his head.
“Viktor-sama!”, Hiroyuki responded to the bow. “I wasn’t notified about your arrival! To what do I owe the honour?”
Hiroyuki knelt, Viktor merely stood in place and looked at him, still smiling.
“Well, I heard that the Hanami was ongoing, I’ve never been to one and was wondering if you’d like to join me?” The wolf said in a polite tone.
“I’d be honoured Viktor-sama, but I have clients to attend”
“Not really, I suspected you’d be occupied at a festival like this, so I’ve “booked” you for the rest of the day.” The wolf snapped his fingers and two servants were carrying a coffer into the hall and sat it down with a huge thud.
Silk, silver, exotic peppers and European wines lined the coffer, there was also a medium sized lectern inside the coffer and in it were some amethysts, emeralds and at least 3 medium sized diamonds along with a nice sum of silver, gold and copper coins, not this scrip paper that the feudal lords were insisting on using, each lord’s scrip paper were incompatible in the other lord’s counties.
Hiroyuki was speechless, he’d never seen so much luxury packed in one coffer, the servants looked awestruck as well before a glare and a pouch of coin in each their hands sent them scrambling.
“I…I…” Hiroyuki stuttered and looked at Viktor, who looked confused.
“Oh, the contents in the lectern is for the time with you, the rest is a gift from the Schöndahl estate”, He said assuring and smiled again. Hiroyuki chuckled pleased at the response.
“For a moment there, I thought you were about to ask me to marry you, Viktor-sama”
The wolf nearly chocked on his air by the words and scratched his nose awkwardly, chuckling at the thought.
“Maybe not that drastically”, Viktor said and turned around
“Shall we get going, Hiroyuki san?”
The weather couldn’t have been better for the festival, the sun was shining, and the smell of cherry blossom was heavy in the air. Viktor and Hiroyuki took their time, taking in the sights, eating some sweets as well as having a nice lunch.
They sat under the cherry tree, cooling down in the shadows. Viktor leaned back and sighed.
“It’s very lovely indeed”, the wolf said and looked at Hiroyuki, who were munching on some cotton candy and had placed his feet in Viktor’s lap, being careful though not to dirty the jacket.
“The festival or my feet?”, the fox asked teasingly and nudged his companion’s chest with his toes, much to the other’s bemusement. It was a well-known secret that Viktor had a love for feet, both casually and sexually.
“Why do you always give me the hard questions?” He chuckled and tickled Hiroyuki’s toes slightly.
“I’d say a both, but these little cuties are available all year around”, He gripped his toes and wiggled them, causing Hiroyuki to giggle.
“True, but they’re exclusive to you only, Viktor-sama” He moved one foot under Viktor’s hakama and felt a nice throbbing feeling against his sole.
“Tsk, tsk, that will have to wait, Viktor-sama”, He winked playfully as Viktor whimpered and did a “sad puppy” look with a grin.
“Oh, fine, but expect them to be pampered later this evening”, the wolf said with a grin and got up to go buy some food. Hiroyuki leaned back and looked up at the sky, the birds singing and for just a moment, all the political games, all the lies seemed to have vanished.
