I'm having issues with this mountain lion girl. She's supposed to be sitting on the ground with her knees pulls up drawing... I'm so absolutely frustrated with this picture, I just can't figure out how it should look compared to how it does.
Critique and redlines are wanted, be brutal I can take it.

Will be moved to scraps when I finish.

I suck at redlining, but I found a few stock photos on DA that may help:

I would love to help you and redline it but...le sigh...I'm working on birthday art atm and am having some trouble myself, haha. However, I have a couple pictures with poses like that if the references will help. Not sure they're what you're looking for at all, but I'll put them up for you anyway :)

Is her muzzle supposed to be to the side as if she is thinking? That's my main concern with this sketch, aside from her left (our right) arm.

How the hell did I miss this comment?
The pictures do help, it's always good to see natural sitting positions close to the pose I want.
Her face was thrown in because when I leave it with no face people ask me why I didn't add the face yet(it's the last thing I draw usually). So I just throw one in n ow so people don't ask why it has no face since sketches apparently MUST have faces.
She'll be looking down more at the paper and her nose won't be that crooked. <3
Thank you by the way.

Meh, it's all gravy. I seem to slip by unnoticed on many an occasion, haha. I'm really glad that the pictures help, even if only a little though.
I can understand leaving drawings without certain elements that make things otherwise important, until you're satisfied with everything else enough to add that last part. Admittedly, the face is one of the first things I usually draw, but I tend not to draw the eyes until I'm done with everything else on the body, or even the entire picture. Sketches are just drafts though, so I don't think that adding everything is too important, unless the artist has trouble basing proportions with missing body parts.
I can't wait to see the finished version :) OH, and I have to add--her neck and collarbone area is done really well, though I might tilt the direction of those two bones down a notch so they match with the top roll of the shoulders. However...the last 2 critiques after me have a lot more to offer you, I think, than my silly banter about collarbones!
It's no problem, of course. I like to offer my help even just a tiny bit, especially when it's asked.

Uh I'm eating right now, but I might be able to help out later if I remember? It honestly doesn't look as bad as you think it does. :P
One thing I will say right now is that for most girls hip width=shoulder width. You should probably give her some more curves down around her butt area to symmetrisize that [hourglass shape, you know!] Or you could bring her shoulders in more, might be easier.

I can see you've already received some critique but hopefully I can say something that hasn't already been said.
Personally I think it would help a lot if you changed her pose a bit. At the moment her pose is very symmetrical and strict (her shoulders are at the same height, her legs are like copies of each other and her posture seems to be very rigid), but if you look at people around you, you'll see that usually their pose is very, um, shall we say asymmetric. (Unless they're scared or tense.) For example, sitting person's feet may point to the opposite directions or one feet can be on top of the other, one shoulder is usually lower than the other and so on.
I do believe that if you just make her seem more alive by giving her more relaxed/natural pose, that'll help. Unfortunately, since English isn't my first language, I fail at trying to describe what might look better, sorry about that. But you can always just sit on the floor, take a comfortable pose and then just sort of "acknowledge" the way you are sitting. Pay attention to how your legs are positioned, where your feet point, is you head tilted to the side and what your posture is like. You don't necessarily need a mirror for this. Then you can try to copy your pose in the picture.
I hope I managed to be helpful! And hopefully my english makes sense, it's already past midnight I live so my brain isn't really working. ^^'

I'll give it a shot! I'm not that great of an artist, anatomy-wise, but I can critique it all right. (I just can't draw it ffff)

if she's looking down, her muzzle could be lowered a bit, and her ears shifted forward. the way they are placed, especially with the hair in front and none behind, makes them appear right at the apex of her skull in this perspective - which would be about the back of her head, if she is looking down. (her eyes could maybe be moved down a bit, too)
her shoulders are a bit uneven, though looking at it again now I see you might have been trying to draw her right shoulder shifted forward (as she is reaching forward), and I should have redlined with that in mind, my bad.
another thing I touched was the placement of the collarbones; they are a bit lower and slant from the 'point' of the shoulder to the very base of the neck. I have a tendency myself to draw collarbones way too high, or way too slanted, haha.
her boobs also look a bit flat -- at least I assume she is supposed to have large boobs. I am really pretty awful at drawing boobs but uh, I tried here a bit! I know as boobs are mostly fat, they have a tendency to kind of squish against the upper arms when they are held at the sides like that - especially her right arm, reaching forward, would press against her right breast. as I assume you have boobs, you can look in a mirror to figure this out; I repeat, I'm pretty bad at drawing boobs lol
and the hips are really sketchy because after doing a quick redline, I looked at it again and realized that I should have made her hips/butt a lot wider - at least as wide as her shoulders. the bottom of her butt should be flatter too, as she's sitting on it, and butts are also squishy.
and another note on my redline: the curve of her thigh at her crotch should be much lower, THAT IS ALSO MY BAD. the way I have it drawn, she's sitting back on her rump, which is a natural (if bad posture) position for humans but for her, it means she'd be uncomfortably crushing the base of her tail. DERP
that aside
her knees should be lowered a bit, and adding the definition of anklebones would help split her calf from her feet. I kind of failed at showing this. :P from a head-on view, the "inside" ankle tends to be less prominent and placed about at the middle of the joint. the "outside" ankle seems more towards the heel, sticks out more, and is slightly lower than the inside ankle.
the pose of her hands holding the book is quite natural (especially the bit of her knuckles showing, holding the pencil; and the splayed fingers holding up the book) -- and to me, I can follow the curve of her tail back to a reasonable* place on her bum, so those are all placed nicely.
(*=i.e. her tail doesn't look like it's coming out of her anus or lumbar)
I uh, hope that helps a little!

Oh wow, holy crap that's a good critique.
Lol, not a good artist my ass. Thank you so much you're amazing. <3
I see what you mean on all those points, especially the face. I added it on last minute and didn't think about it much but you pointed out things I'd have not noticed going back to actually fix it. Thank you.
Thanks for the tips on the rest of the stuff too, especially her boobs, but, hips and legs... so like.. all of it. XD
<3 x over900 and such.

Okay, here are a few of my personal suggestions. I don't claim to be a pro at this, but this is what I would change if it were my piece. :)
