There are some ... complications ... to asking your almiraj friends to put on some cloven hoof shoes so they'll count as more unicorns. They usually don't want fake hooves cheapening their real majesty.
...
The outfit is something I baked up over time. I used to have a hare character who ran around in a sort of ninja outfit, with a bit of hoody mixed in. He usually had a daisho (long and short samurai sword pair) over his shoulder. The drop seat isn't entirely unprecedented. Hakama (the outer leggings worm by samurai and aikido instructors) had something that might work as a drop seat. However, those were tied high above the waist. Having them lower - at the tail - would reduce the need to thread tails (if you have one). Furry onesies, etc., might all benefit from having their snap crotches line up with the tails.
It gets more complicated if your almiraj friends are Jewish or Islamic. Like Bacos, rabbits with cloven hooves might technically be kosher. The carnivorous almiraj might be less likely to have mixed feeling s about this.
And yes, given how frequently there are belly dancers at Caledonian festivals and highland games, a Scottish mountain hare almiraj isn't that odd. Well, for an almiraj, that is.
By the way, if you'd like to volunteer to help with the need for more unicorns, send me a note about how you'd like to become one (or set someone else up).

Thanks. I probably spent too much time nerding on details. For example, the horn isn't spiraled. A small creature ramming a larger one with a single, spiraled horn would suffer a reaction torque. Martial artists might learn to spin with it, and so not suffer much damage. Otherwise, the light lapine neck or spine might break under the torque. Also, even though almiraj are from Islamic poetry, the horn is more foil than scimitar. Horns don't hold an edge well, so it would be used for thrusting, not slicing.
Hadn't thought about serration, although in hindsight, ridges would help prevent attacks from sliding up the horn, and reaching the head. They would serve much the same role as guards on swords. (The horn did briefly, sequentially include a swordbreaker spur and bloodletting groove, but they left it looking too developed to fit into an ABDL context. He's already past the point where a unicorn protection device would be warranted.
It's a daisho I'm a GM for legends of the five rings so I often use the term. I remember another bunny character of yours who met a horse, I still have the pictures.

Considered going with a jackalope. It would have been further removed from unicorn-hood, and wouldn't have had the tie-in with Old Testament dietary regulations. As for daisho, I'm surprised that even more words weren't misspelled above. For some reason I seem to be biased toward dia-something spellings. Not sure why...
