(Temporary write-up by Spyrofreak with minor edits my me) For thousands of years, dragons and humans have lived together, but not in harmony. Humans hate dragons because of getting killed, and dragons hate humans because of them hunting on dragons.

Of course, are not all humans or dragons hostile to each other. Sometimes are there dragons and humans that does live together and even have offspring. These offspring are called Hybrids. Hybrids have the ability (after they develop their powers) to switch between human and dragon form and even an anthromorphic form. Hybrids always start their life as humans with their dragon cells being dormant. But when they reach a certain age, they start transforming into dragons. Hunters have a special machine that can find out if someone is Hybrid or not. And if they find a hybrid before they transform, they get arrested and executed before their power start developing.

Mike and Bolt are two friends who are on a trip to the hunters' academy with school. And when two people were asked as volunteers to simply go in the machine as demonstration, they were found out as Hybrids. And thus a gas put them in sleep and they later woke up and found themselves in a prison cell, where they were to stay until they were executed the next day.

Bolt's electricity power started developing, which he could use to short-cut the electricity on the locks of their prison and after fighting off a few hunters (and they did very well for rookies), they managed to get out of the prison. And when they managed to get out, a dragoness came for their aid to bring them to safety. This dragoness happen to be their teacher of their (human) school, who had to protect them until their powers would wake up.

Once brought to safety, their powers started developing and they slowly turned in normal dragons first, and later on learned how to switch between human and dragon form and even get their anthro form.

Anyway, this was a commission for  spyrofreak01 . It's actually been finished for over a month, but we never got to uploading it because it was initially going to have a slightly more elaborate backstory. Still, I wanted this to not go to waste, and I decided I'll go ahead up post it now. I'll post an update if we get an extended write-up/story for it. Hope you enjoy the art in the meantime! I'm pretty happy with the shading overall.
