Lil' guy sure is shocked by Brexit! He must have just learned that it's not a brand of shredded wheat cracker.

I'll admit I'm in favour of Brexit due to being opposed to the idea of being part of a United States of Europe, but I have to wonder how credible a lot of these economists really are (we had a lot of this hysteria when there was a possibility that we'd join the Euro due to some people claiming we'd be screwed if we didn't adopt it and as far as I can a lot of them didn't see the '08 crash coming). I know the £'s value started falling when results from the first voting area which supported Leave came in despite the fact that the number of areas voting for Brexit was irrelevant compared to the overall number of votes (and ever though everywhere else could have gone on to support Remain) so it just brings back memories of when the stock market lost points in (I think) '13 solely because Ed Milliband announced his "freeze utility bills" and "break up the banks" policies even though he needed to win an election and keep those policies in their original forms for them to actually be an issue.

I literally only chose this title because it had the word "shock" in it. When I searched for "scare" and "horror," everything that came up was intrinsically depressing.

To be fair, a lot of people seem to see leaving the EU as depressing. :P (Admittedly I like discussing politics anyway.)

That is fine but a comment form on a completely unrelated cartoon drawing is not a good place to expect anybody else to want to discuss it with you.
