I really like the way you did the beak. The branch could've used a bit more blended highlights, but that's just me.
The colours and brush strokes are beautiful, and the character design wonderful. The background is coloured just perfect enough not to be distracting.
My only critique would be the highlight at the tip of his beak, looks a tad bit strong compared the the other highlights on the head.

As for as the beak goes, the highlights for both the head and the beak are the same color :E
I think it's just that the beak is otherwise a deep, deep red, making the highlight pop more.

I don't mind criticism, so long as you know what you're talking about. So use some words and figure out exactly what you don't like, instead of spitting meaningless empty phrases at me, so that I can improve my art.
Reason I like some of your work, is due to my fondness for surreal art.
Bring me the weird stuff, and I'll love you for it.
I don't mind that you pick and choose what you like, but just because the content is outside of you liking, you've lumped it into "meh" which I've gotta say, is a pretty stupid comment to make.
I am an illustrator, you can pay me for my services, tell me how much you like my art, or nitpick the quality of the art. If your comment is on something so biased as content, kindly, shove off.
I like the image alone.
Shading, coloring, detail, etc. Doesn't mean much to me.
