Intoxicator is a supervillain, a genetic experiment with the body of a hairless human and the head of a snake. Xyzillentz (Pronounced "zai-zee-ents") is his "real" name (though he made it up himself); Intoxicator is his supervillain alter-ego.
Origin: A cabal of criminal geniuses, 24 years ago, decided to create themselves a lethal enforcer with genetic experimentation. Obsessed with ancient legends, they were fascinated particularly by the naga... they found it imposing and powerful. Mixing the DNA of a man and a snake, along with a few secret compounds of their own, they attempted to make themselves the perfect partner in crime - a deadly, evil, powerful, toxic nage. Unfortunately, they were not nearly as skilled as they thought they were. They wound up creating a bizarre hybrid creature with his own genius-level intellect and free will. Attempting to salvage the situation, they created a special super-suit for their creation, who had named himself Xyzillentz. They hoped to use him against their criminal and scientific rivals. They were ultimately killed by their own creation after trying to "fix" Xyzillentz in the gene splicer, which the fetid fellow took offense to, acting rashly in what he swears was self-defense. The deed done, Xyzillentz took to the streets as a supervillain...
Civilian Identity: Though coercion, hypnosis, brute force, and the forging of some very helpful connections, Xyzillentz was able to work his way to the top of the criminal element of Crescent City, Vermont. Using his ill-begotten fortunes, he opened his own nightclub, The Lost & Found, which he operates himself. He also serves as a mixologist, bartender, menu planner, and host for the joint. He also often performs as the lead singer, keytarist, and occasional violinist of the house band, Rock & Roll Heart Attack. He is something of a local celebrity and revels in the admiration of his fans.
Evil Lair: At the bottom of an off-limits stairwell in the back of his club is a door with several locking mechanisms, traditional and computerized. And behind it, in the basement of The Lost & Found, is Xyzillentz' hidden supervillain lair. It's divided into three main rooms, the first of which is a luxurious bedroom for Xyzillentz, lit by chandelier, lined with images and portraits of himself and also containing his civilian wardrobe. His personal bathroom is attached on the side. Behind a door in the back of the bedroom is a sort of prisoner chamber. It's a bleak room with brick walls, grimy floors, dim lights, and cages for captives hanging from the ceiling.
Finally, through another door in the back of that room is the main lair. It's a large, sparse room of concrete and steel. This is where he stores his scientific equipment, his super-suits and helmets, any weapons or experiments, and mementos of his supervillainy. One wall is covered by a bank of huge computer monitors, with the processors built into the wall itself. This is where he conducts much of his planning and business for both the club and his evil activities. At the center of the room is a golden throne atop a small pyramid of stairs - a pointless but flashy addition. The room is lit by fluorescent lights built into the ceiling.
Powers/Abilities: He can release toxic gas, in three varieties, from the pores on his skin:
-A green gas, which is a strong nervous and muscular system suppressant that quickly weakens the body and mind of a victim. It saps strength and mental awareness up to the point of unconsciousness but does not kill. The scent is a terrible, indescribable stench that is often enough to knock targets out before the toxin even takes effect.
-A purple gas, which is a weaker, slower-acting version of the green one with the same muscle and nervous system-affecting properties. Unlike the green gas, it smells wonderful, like flowers and fresh fruit.
-A yellow gas, which works to paralyze the victim's voluntary muscle control from the neck down. It has a stinging, burning, spicy scent like hot pepper juice that can irritate the eyes, throat, and sinuses.
His suit features special pressurized vents that can be used to shoot out clouds or geyser-like blasts of these gasses. Though it's unrelated to his actual powers, the suit vents also work as speakers to project his voice and can be used to fire off high-frequency, extremely loud, targeted blasts of sound for use as sonic weaponry.
Because his body and blood are made of a ridiculous cocktail of mutant genes and powerful toxins, he is effectively immune to all pathogenic diseases, poisons, drugs, sedatives, and other toxins. He is, however, allergic to asparagus. He is essentially immortal, not counting the possibility of fatal injuries - kept alive and young by his super-toxic blood. It revitalizes and maintains his cells and bodily functions. In others, however, it is an extremely lethal concoction in even the smallest quantity.
He has a certain amount of telepathic ability, which is actually how he controls his suit's functions; the computerized garment is tuned to receive his mental transmissions and respond accordingly. His helmet is too small to allow him to move his jaw and talk when it is on, so when fully suited, he even "speaks" by willing the suit to project words he's thinking. The other use of this mental ability is for mental influence and mind control - however, he is rather weak in this regard. Instead of totally hijacking another's mind, he can plant thoughts and suggestions. An average person may become confused but will usually be able to reject them - as such, he tends to use this in tandem with his green or purple gasses. Once their toxin-addled minds are weak enough, his suggestions or commands can go through with little resistance. By implanting an initial suggestion to obey him, he can extend the length of this mind control well past the time when the gas wears off - though inevitably the victim's mind will eventually reject him again (the length of time ranges from several hours to about a week after the gas wears off, depending on the mental strength and willpower of the victim). His eyes glow purple when he is planting thoughts in someone else's mind.
He has a few additional mutant abilities which he can only use with his helmet off. Firstly, his tongue is prehensile and can stretch to 37 feet in length. It is also super-strong, in contrast to the rest of his body, and can lift about 400 pounds, exerting the same amount of pressure. It is very useful for constricting opponents much as a full snake would do with its tail. He can exhale a stinky, burning, acidic mist that causes severe burns to exposed flesh and eats through many materials such as metals, plastics, wood, and rubber (most cloth and fabric will not be affected, though they can soak it in and burn the skin beneath). Finally, as a last resort, he can always just bite an enemy with his fangs. He can control whether or not to release his venom, which is a powerful necrotizing toxin. If enough is released into a victim's bloodstream, it will essentially kill them from the inside out. Minuscule doses can be used to cripple a limb or other particular area. Intoxicator refrains from doing this in all but the most extreme circumstances as he has a distaste for killing, feeling that it's no fun and is, essentially, a waste.
For what his powers cannot achieve, he will often turn to technology. He's an accomplished inventor, and his suit's helmet features an internal HUD with GPS, night-vision, motion tracking, image zoom, sound cancellation and hacking features. Since he has no special healing factor himself, he uses a special fabric for his suit which is bulletproof to small arms fire and resistant to puncture by blades. His lair includes a variety of special medical devices he uses to accelerate his healing. When a specific problem presents itself, he will often attempt to create a new device to handle it. In some cases he has even been known to perform genetic experiments on himself, seeking to tweak and refine his own abilities.
He has no formal martial arts training, relying on his wealth of supervillainy experience and studies of others' techniques for his fighting style. He's agile and highly coordinated but doesn't tend to hit particularly hard and, seeing as he lacks any sort of strength enhancement beyond his tongue, is downright weak by super-standards. For this reason he relies much more heavily upon his tactics, special abilities and technology than his fighting prowess.
