Goodness, this character's design is wonderful, and what a deep meaning he carries!
Luxe was born as a female wolf, however they were disinterested in traditional feminine societal aspects.
Luxe's form never truly stabilized and continually shifts, sometimes making them a male dragon, and as far back as almost their birth form. Though, that experience made them realize they really are male and have always wanted to be, being able to experience the gender has truly made them realize with confidence that they are and always have been male.
