- Izzo is a Halsundra Scout, one of many of a group that are given, to a degree, diplomatic immunity and freedom to access dangerous and/or unexplored territory at their own disclosure. For research, recording, even just visiting, the Halsundra Scouts are free to cross countries and be in any place they so choose, providing they adhere to a civil sense of conduct. They are free to ignore the laws of a land they may visit, but they can only go so far with that. They can be kicked out for this, unable to rejoin and held accountable for any and all charges that they may have accrued. Halsundra Scouts often end up as couriers for one thing or another due to free access to the world and being allowed to go anywhere they need to be. Few dare explore the charred, barren lands of the former nation of Dyzenza, the place has remained a blight ever since The Vanish, Baldric's reputation scares off all but the most foolhardy of people, along with the unsettling atmosphere of the former great land.
