Well, today is the last day of work. 30 minutes to go before I leave, oh what's this? I have mail from the boss... Lemme see... Install new phone system, unpack 600 iPads, prep same for deployment, install new computers in computer labs. Board has approved budget for summer employees...

Ironically, that was not for my benefit, but my coworkers! I installed Windows 98 (and office) so many times I had those fifty characters memorized by heart! (That was back in the days before we got Novell Zenworks, or MS Software deployment to do a lot of stuff over the network that I used to do by hand one machine at a time! =^^=

Heh, our department has suffered from quite a bit of mission creep! The running joke is if one of the toilets backs up in the auditorium, it will be our job to fix it because they have photosensors on the flushing mechanism... "Oh, electronics, it is IT's problem!" =^^=
Heh, once you get to the regular work force, summer vacation is gone. I remember my second job working in a small computer store, I was there three years, I think I could count on my hands how many days I got off that weren't the weekend...
