Don't know how many people might agree, but I think Heathcliff is better than Garfield. Heathcliff is a cat of action, where as action just happens around Garfield and he would prefer to just sleep thought it.

True. So true. But Garfield did had that cynical dry witty humor that is needed when most kids shows were all safe cutsy-wutsy and smiles.
