My Master's Will (Possible comic Sneak Peak)
As I'm sure you know from http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25801244/
I'm working on deciding a Patreon Exclusive comic to help attract new patrons. As such, i want everyone to give input as to which comic I should work on. To help people make an educated decision, I have made sort of previews for each comic that I will post each week until the deadline, This week is My Master's Will. This slice of life/mystery story actually started out as a silly short story that I never got around to finishing (let alone publish). Since then, it's gone furry and I want to expand upon and round out the characters. It's also set in a world of my own creation, the world of Calypsia. All you really need to know (besides what I don't already reveal in the link above) is that there is a high potential for cameos for both humans and furies.
Now to present the last of the three preview stories. Check out the others and vote for which one you'd like to see completed.
My Master's Will
"Come on… It will be fun…," Roger teased his lion roommate , "I can guarantee that it will help you with your stress."
"I dunno," Alex paused staring at the strange Christmas gift. the wolf gave him It was a cassette tape set that had a strange insignia that looked like a white sun within a blue circle. Although that thing that creeped the lion out the most was the swirling black and white pattern that made up the sun's main body. It reminded him of a vacant eye that Alex would swear only zombies wold have, "it sounds a bit too extreme."
"I promise that it will change your life forever," Roger patted Alex's back as he got up to grab some more eggnog.
Alex was left staring at his present. He knew that Roger meant well, but M.Y.L.E. brand hypnosis? The very notion of messing around with his brain would take an incredible amount of trust. The type of trust that Alex just couldn't give a complete stranger. Alex didn't even bother to break the plastic that tightly wrapped the box. Alex decided to just do his best with his final exams. He actually forgot all about the tapes. Didn't even bother packing it with his things after they graduated.
The moderators found it, but decided to store it away in the attic, where it stayed untouched for a few years. That is until a young dog in his Junior year decided to take it down. He didn't believe that it would actually work, but he was desperate enough to try anything.
Consequently the very next morning, Alex was enjoying breakfast with his girlfriend. Or at least he hoped the exotic and beautiful white tiger wouldn't mind being his girlfriend. It's already been a month, but he's never really asked if they were officially dating yet. Hell, asking her to breakfast every morning was hard enough for the poor soul. He never got over either his shyness or skittish nature. Even after he had managed to pass his final exams with flying colors, score a great paying job along with an amazingly nice apartment. Given he wouldn't have the other two if it weren't for his old roommate, who was now his housemate as well.
"You sure are hungry today," Brenda pointed at the extra set of pancakes.
"Oh no those are Roger's," Alex stated, honestly not realizing that Brenda was only joking. She liked that about him. He was honest.
"So you guys have been together since college."
"What! No," Alex shouted at first, but quickly went back into his normal slumped seating, "I mean, yes, but we're not a couple or anything like that. We've been friends since high school actually."
"So are you aware that he likes you like that," Brenda grinned, it was way too easy to tease Alex.
"Well yeah," Alex mumbled with his fork in his mouth, "He came out to me in college… But he knows I'm not interested in guys."
"Well, that seems kind of mean."
"Mean?"
"Yeah, It's like you're this big juicy steak and he's Tantalus."
"I didn't think of it like that."
"I know, I just don't see why he lives with you."
"He pays most of the rent and I actually have a car," Roger surprised the potential couple, "and I don't hold grudges when people talk about me behind my back."
"Oh hi Roger," Brenda recovered her composure rather quickly, "how long were you standing there?"
"Only long enough to know that Alex still hasn't asked you yet."
"Asked me," Brenda rested her head upon her wrists as she stared at the lion, "Asked me what?"
"Ah well…," Alex dropped his fork. He knew what he wanted to say, but his brain went blank. He couldn't remember what he wanted to say. Even after practicing for hours on end. And now all he could think of was, 'i'm going to barf.'
"Excuse me," Alex made a mad dash for the restroom clear across the small diner.
"Well that's too bad," Roger took his seat where Alex used to be so he could steal a couple strips of bacon to go along with his own stack of pancakes, "I don't know what you see in him."
"I could ask you the same thing," Brenda glared back with a smile.
"Touché," Roger returned with a glaring smirk of his own, ripping his bacon in half, "So Tantalus? How's it feel to be in the same boat as me?"
(I want to add more, but it's this part that falls into the territory of Innuendos as well as double speak.)
