it could work, but I don't think they'd put a tattoo of the thing that keeps many of them captive on their arm.

...then again, who knows how many people tattoo jail cells/bars on themselves?

actually some russian mobsters will tattoo barbwire on their foreheads representing life imprisonment if I recall.
the pokeball is more iconic with the franchise.
