H-hey, hold it! That jerk in the next room ain't me!
Guy turned me into one of my own gorgeous statues, and now he's
impersonatin' me! Wait, get back here! Get me turned back, or
he'll get you, too! Great, now how am I gonna get outta this...
Well, this took me forever and a half, feels like. X3
Looks like the Koopa King's been turned into background scenery in his own castle! He can't even control his own fire breath anymore, it just comes out whenever. And Mario doesn't even notice anything's amiss as he heads to the same fate. :3c
I've drawn Bowser in a similar situation before, but now that I've got a little of my own style going, I wanted to try it again. The flame kind of obscures it, but I gave Bowser a lot more pudge than his canon self has, and adjusted the normal statues to match. Is it an improvement? You decide~ <3
So, guess who downloaded an adjust dodge brush for Krita, and went nuts with it?
WOWEE I'M SHADING LIKE A REAL ARTIST YAHOOOOOO
I also used the pastel brush over a layer of gray for the stone texture, rather than use a premade texture. How's it looks?
Also, first image I've ever had to compress before uploading.
Also, for the two regular Bowser statues in the background, I downloaded a model ripped from Super Mario 3D world, loaded it up, took a screenshot, then rotoscoped it twice so those two would look mass-produced.
Kind of a shame His Handsomeness isn't featured more prominently (behind a fireproof barrier, preferably) so he can be admired, but he can still kick ass like this, at least! If you suck at dodging, that is. :P At any rate, he'll be protecting the new Koopa King for quite a while, so he's better off forgetting about escape. ;3
