Since these paws will fit over shoes (spats), most of the bottom will be the exposed tread of the shoe, but the padded paw at the end past the wearer's toes needs a base. Since no weight will be put on it, it can be pretty light so I'm using fake leather.

I don't think anyone will ever see the pawpads but I figured why not. :)
