Boy, did this picture change the game for me. I was aware of the fandom--I'd mostly made some puppet videos--but didn't really dive in until the Boozy Barrister wrote an article about RMFC ("Free Furry of the Land: When SovCits and Furries Collide"). Closing the article, quoth the Barrister: "I’m gonna be a motherfuckin’ badger." Tickled, I broke out my good pens and Prismacolors for the first time in years and did up some fanart of the newborn Badger and his Twitter buddy Habeas Porpoise.

My phone blew up with Twitter notifications. It hasn't stopped dancing since. I've been to several cons, hosted panels, guested on podcasts, bought and sold art, and made some fantastic friends.
