A New Point of View: Prologue
I don't want to give too much away but this is a story I will be doing about one of my characters! It will be much more obvious who it's about in chapter 1 which I hope to release soon!

Story:
The town of Bastion was one of seclusion and beauty. It was a good-sized town for the area it was in, especially with no other civilization being around for miles. There was one long road that stretched in for anyone who wished to come into or leave the town, though most residents were happy where they were. For the most part, the town had everything they needed, plenty of jobs, medical centers, schools including a college, housing, and much more.
Bastion was nestled against a large forest which surrounded a big part of the town and stretched on past the residential zones. The founders built it in this specific location as it was said that the forest around the town and the land it was built upon held magic power. Those beliefs were all but a tale that parents told young children at this point.
The town consisted mainly of middle-class families who were rather well off but there was one family who was rich and high in power since the town was built, the Jeunesse’s. Their home was a mansion that was tucked into the forest a little way off, a road branching off from the town hall connected the two buildings.
Most of the homes for the residents of Bastion were within the town itself but there was a gated community that lay just outside the town, only a few minutes walking distance from the gated entrance. The people who lived in this gated community were like the rest of the middle-class families, but the housing was there for those who preferred the more rural look.
Things were quiet in the town for the most part. Nothing spectacular ever really happened and most people ended up growing old in the town, raising kids, and then the whole process would repeat. This was how the town went on since it was built, even for the people who became mayor, it was the same family every time it came for a new generation to lead.
