What are Dionaea? Here are the basics!

Dionaea are omnivores who are able to eat a large amount of live prey in one sitting using their traps - mouths usually located from the back of their head to the base of their body that remain closed whenever not on the hunt. The inside of these mouths takes up the majority of the inside of their bodies and so they don't have traditional, mammalian organs. So the mouth on their face isn't connected to a stomach and they can't eat from it. Its primary use is expression and verbal communication. But this doesn't mean that their traps are the only way they can eat. They also have mouths located at the front of their bodies around their waste that connects directly to the trap and this is how they eat the majority of their meals, only resorting to their traps if their food is very large which is rare.
