Name: Swalot
Classification: Poison bag
Type: Poison
Number: 317
Evolution: Gulpin --> Swalot (level 26)
Height: 1.70 m
Weight: 80 kg
Description: Swalot is the true omnivore. It eats everything and hardly moves. When its supply of food in the immediate area runs out, it moves a few hundred yards to a new place. One can follow the trail of Swalot through the forest for years because of these 'empty' spaces, which have trouble growing over again due to Swalots poison. It swallows everything it eats whole. It is mostly gelatinous, with very few solid parts in its body. This allows it to ingest large, irregularly shaped items. It has no teeth or tongue, but pushes its food directly into its stomach with four long muscles that stretch across the length of its mouth and oesophagus. It can digest anything because of the verocious acids in its stomach. Its stomach is nearly indestructible - several scientific organisations are trying to make a synthetic equivalent of it, so far without much success. Its eyes are practically none-existent, but its sense of smell is great. Its skin is very insensitive, so it feels its way about with its two whiskers. Males, who travel more than females in search of a mate, have longer whiskers. When it travels, it looks almost like a giant slug, slithering at an incredibly low pace. When it eats something, it stays in one place, motionless, until it is digested enough for it to move again. (see the lower right hand picture) It is covered with poison, not deadly to humans, but enough to ensure that it has no natural predators. Mating is laborous and often unsuccesful. Swalot thrive in cities, where they are popular to dispose of illegal waste. When left on their own in cities, they often retreat to the sewers.
