Oh ok, so you saw them. xD Yeah, well, there's this character in the game Eihrgeiz, a fighting game with FFVII characters in it, named "Djinn", and a while back, there was a theory that she was Nanaki's mate, because she was listed as a "Character from Final Fantasy", but no one had ever heard of her. xD She looks like a whiteish wolf and is similar in design to Nanaki, but I'm not sure if Square themselves ever said who she was. I just remember looking through the manual for that game and going, "I don't remember this character being in VII. wtf."

Now, if I remember right, in the game that's Japan-only, "Before Crisis", for cell phones...there is a female lion thing in it who is his confirmed mate, and she had been in hiding during the events of VII. ...which I call shenanigans on, but, hey. It's sort of an answer. x3
