After finally using Grom in real stories, I've decided to give him a make over! It was aimed to make him look more beastly and toad like, and subsequently a bit larger and heftier. :]

Story wise I've given him his own race too.

He is what people call an arcane toad. Beasts with massive amounts of magical energy, more than most, thanks to their bodies naturally storing them in other parts of their bodies like there gut and throat. Few of them are capable or even bother trying to make something out of it. Grom is one of the few of course and has become an exceptionally skilled and powerful mage.

His interest in magic has lead him to find rare spells and arcane artifacts. He keeps many of them for himself but realized he now had bargaining chips and uses his findings as merchandise to get what he wants. Due to this he gained quite a convincing tongue to win over customers and altered his beastly body to stand upright and look more welcoming. His attire further assists with this look and his massive robe covers most of his body while also serving to hold his merchandise.

While he remains mostly self centered, he is open to others who either impress him, show magical promise, or are willing to do business.
