"Wow, fireflies!" Gale exclaimed with joy! Strobes smiled as he watched her play with it and said, "Yes, they're little stars of the Earth!"
When Strobes and I first visited his real life childhood home, I was absolutely enamored with how quiet, peaceful and serene the country surroundings were. He lived in a gorgeous little neighborhood with a nearby meadow, forested area and babbling brook. One night he took me out to their yard just as night had fallen over the town. I was in awe as the grass lit up around us with dozens of little fireflies, a sight I had never seen in real life. He helped me gently catch one, both our paws touching as we looked at these amazing creatures. I will never forget that. Fireflies mean so much to us and to me, they remind me of the love I have for Strobes. I had always wanted to get that moment captured in art and I'm so happy my friend Paco was willing to do so in such stunning traditional medium.
