This year I had a resolution to try to get something out every month and thankfully I managed to keep to that, even if only barely. I had been hoping to do a year in review in my stories and to also prevent a drought in releases. Unfortunately it didn't quite deal with the latter issue.
Year in review template is from here
So here is each story that I highlighted for each month:
January-Date Night NSFW
This was my first fling with interactive stories. The style of using a PDF file with links was actually inspired from somewhere else. However since then I've moved on to using twine to make interactive stories. Date Night was also one of the rare times I got to do a hypnosis themed work instead of a transformation one. Got a lot of nice reactions on this one.
February-Tuned In - Day 1 NSFW
Tuned In Was an attempt at tackling one of my favourite TF ideas, Reality Change. The nature of the challenge and style of writing for this was inspired by a story not on FA. Sadly this series ended up being a little more delayed than I would have liked, but it did launch with quite a bit of interest.
March-Adrift Island
Adrift was my first release of a game using twine. It was pretty short of a game, but many people seemed to enjoy it. I had originally planned for the game to include some nsfw scenes but decided to leave this out so that everyone could enjoy it.
April-Haurbus Hotel NSFW
HH was my only commission in 2017, but it's one that I think turned out rather well. It was a bit of a challenge to do the mental conflict. It was also a delight to get to work with such a suave character.
May-Tuned In - Day 2 & 3 NSFW
The remote series continued! With such a long hiatus I tried to do about twice the length with two days so that there was some worth to the wait. However, steam had clearly died down and there wasn't as much interest for this installment.
June-Tuned In - Day 4 NSFW
With June I completed the Tuned In series. The ending was a little abrupt, but I did want to throw in a bit of a curve ball.
July-Star Dream Cruise - Chapter 1
With July I launched the new story raffle series. The original plan had been to do a game like the mafia game that I did; however, I didn't quite have the funds to get art as a thanks for playing and I couldn't think of any good games. So instead I went with the usual raffle. The series took to October to complete.
August-Ferret Heist
Ferret Heist was something that I had been planning since May, and maybe even before that. With Wuffy being one of my best friends I wanted to do something special for him to thank him. Instead of my usual gimp thrown together icon I got a commission from trevor-fox to mark the game. The submission exploded with favourites when i posted it, only for me to find out that the game link wasn't even working....
September-Window Shopping
2017 was the year of my first collaboration! Well... First successful collaboration that is. When Portaljaguar2 first approached me I initially had a few questions about it. However, planning and writing this story turned out pretty fun.
October-D is for Deathstalker
Alphabet TFs returned just in time for Halloween with this gangsterish scorpion TF. This is one I had been looking forwards to quite a bit since scorpions have been criminally underdone within the TF community.
November-E is for Emperor Dragonfly
Dragonflys are another species not done often enough by the TF community. I took this one in a different direction by having it be written in poetry. Haiku turned out to be the perfect format to work in.
DecemberEscape the dungeon
This release nearly didn't come out in time. Having a couple university essays to work on in December meant that the main work on this project kept getting delayed until about the 17. Then my computer got bricked on the 22nd from trying to undo a forced update that screwed up the interface. Thankfully it was all worth it, the giftee for the exchange loved it and it got a lot of discussion rather quickly.
In all, I'm pretty happy that I managed to stick to my resolution for this year!
