The process of making it was a long trial-and-error ordeal of "Here's part of a finger. Does that fit? No, it's too tight. [take it apart] Does that fit now? No, it needs to taper differently. [take it apart] Does that fit now? Kind of..."
More time was spent putting it on and staring at it on my hand than actually linking pieces together. I couldn't make one for someone else without borrowing their hand for a week.
