It's hard to believe it's already been a year since I did this last... It's funny, the year felt so long but now that I'm writing this it feels like just yesterday I had done the 2016 meme.
If I'm totally honest 2017 was all around a better year for me than 2016, at least personally. It was a year of growth, loss, and regrowth.
Many things happened to me over the year. I returned to school, lost a close loved one, and made some new amazing friends, as well as rekindled some old friendships.
I returned to College in September and that has helped me improve my art quite a bit since then. Even just comparing my work from August to now, let alone from the beginning of the year to now, there's quite a bit of difference and I'm proud of that, even if I still have a long way to go.
I suppose 2017 was less a year of change and more a year of evolution, my art improved, I've taken steps to improve my physical and mental health, and our house is finally coming together to feel like a fully made home, which means more to me than you'd think.

Going into 2018 I don't want to make a bunch of promises I won't keep, so I figure my one main goal from 2018 is just to keep along with the improvements I made in 2017, and slowly work towards being the person I want to be.

Here's to 2018, here's to hoping we can continue to grow through it, and here's hoping it's a better year all around for everyone.
