I did not know them when I first commissioned Battitude Studios but now we've become friends and are close!


Do you have any prior experience with fursuits?
Yes, I have made two versions of Ashpaw as fullsuits. I have also built at least 2 other fursuits for my friends and have made some fursuit parts for charities and raffles. I have also worn Zippo from ByCatForCats to a few conventions.

They did! I was loose with the deadline and asked to have it done the latest by May so I could wear him to the convention I was going to in June.

I did, although I had barely to no issues at all.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
Ashpaw's fursuit head is well ventilated and the vision is probably the best I've had compared to my older suits and friend’s suits. The mouth and nose are completely hollowed out to keep any of the foam/lining on the inside from touching any part of my mouth. The head is completely lined with galaxy lycra and all foam work has been covered. The head is not stuffy at all and the air circulates through multiple openings including the eyes, mouth and nose holes to keep me cool. I don't need to have a fan installed like my previous heads to cool down. The eyes are large and help with being able to have a wider range of view. I still tilt my head to look around to see certain things and make sure that I don’t trip over myself or others. There is a small blind spot in the middle but every suit I've tried on has had one. It fits my head perfectly and I did not have to send any measurements for my head to the maker. It rests just above my nose and I have enough room to take it off and on without any complications. Nothing pokes and it's very comfortable to wear hours on end at the conventions I've taken him too.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
I am very satisfied with the appearance of Ashpaw's head. The symmetry is perfect as each of his markings match up with the other side. You can tell that they took the extra time to make sure the shaving of the fur is smooth and even. I chose a cheerful expression for Ashpaw with the addition to have magnetic eyelids to make him look grumpy. They achieved both flawlessly. Battitude hand painted the eyes to look like galaxies which was an amazing surprise. All in all, I love the follow me effect with the head and it can achieve multiple different expressions with or without the eyelids. Battitude also installed small gauges in the ears of my fursuit which was a nice touch and made it look exactly like the concept artwork I provided.

Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
I chose to upgrade and get magnetic eyelids to change Ashpaw's expression from a cheerful one to a grumpy one. It works well and is readable from any angle with them on. I'm not sure what they used magnetic wise but they feel heavy duty and stick together very well. The eyelids do not move around or fall off as I'm wearing him. I usually keep them on while I'm suiting since it gives him a little more personality and is a conversational piece since it's the first thing people notice.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
I only commissioned hand paws from Battitude Studios. They are puffy and are made into a toony style with only four fingers. I am very satisfied with them and they fit like a glove, no pun intended. They slip right on and don't tighten around my wrists so my movement isn't limited. They are lined on the inside and the padding on each finger in lined as well with lycra. It keeps my hands cool and comfortable with multiple wears. I have a little difficulty with picking things up but that's due to the nature of the puffiness of the paws. I do have claws on my paws that are sewn right into the fur. None are loose or feel like they are becoming loose with each time I wear them making them durable.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
I love the way that the paws look and feel. I also love the style of hand paws they chose making him look toony and adorable. Everything is super soft and comfortable to the touch. The shaving is neat and even on each of the fingers. The transition to the longer fur on the wrists looks well done. I can brush out the fur in between the fingers after each use and it looks brand new again. I am happy with the selection of material they used for the paw pads.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
The rainbow straps that my belt loops into in a very nice touch! The straps are secure and have held up while fursuitting and just wearing it around the convention area while out of suit. The movement is nice and doesn't constantly hit against my back legs or drag on the ground. It is very comfortable to wear in an out of suit.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
The tail is exactly how I wanted it to be. Everything is symmetrical and exactly like the concept art! I was picky about the length and shape and Battitude Studios was helpful in getting the tail to look the way I wanted it too.

I am very satisfied with how close the suit matches the concept art. All the markings were correct, right down to his gauges. Battitude Studios has also added their own flair to Ashpaw which makes him unique.

Everything fits together and matches up perfectly. The markings match up at the seams and the colors they used are consistent throughout. Battitude Studios was very committed to make Ashpaw exactly how I envisioned him to be.

How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
I was very satisfied with how easy it was to initially contact the maker. They have several different platforms to contact them on and they are all very responsive. When I initially contacted them about a quote, they got back to me quickly and was very prompt on how much, timeline completion, and any additional questions about the character.


How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take them to respond?
Their response time is quick. If I have any problems or questions it doesn't take them long to respond and get back to me with an answer within the hour.


How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Deadline was met and completed on time to wear him to the convention I planned on going too!


How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
I'm highly satisfied with the overall quality of Ashpaw. He is several months old and still looks brand new as if I just took him out of the box. They take the extra time to make sure everything is stitched perfectly and lined. They also take the time to ask questions if they come up with any and make sure the product is how you envision it.


How satisfied are you with the overall customer service and professionalism of the maker?
Battitude Studios is very professional and their customer service is phenomenal. It is honestly the best experience I’ve had commissioning any product from anyone.


Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
Pros, there are many of them. Battitude shows a lot of WIPs to you as they work. They also go out of their way to ask any questions or clear anything up. They are very friendly and professional to boot. They work with you in the process which is very nice and I recommend them to anyone considering commissioning a fursuit.

Cons, I can't honestly think of any?

Additional comments? If you’re considering commissioning Battitude Studios I would go ahead and commission them. If it seems like their queue is too long or you think you may not get a quote or accepted into the queue, keep going. They are an amazing at what they do and it is worth the wait!
