YAY!!!! I taught myself how to draw a passable lion!!! At least he is better than my first few tries. ^_^; This is Maki, or rather Msamaki, the white lion.
Here is his bio, he might be submitted to Misfit Pride depending on how Aya gets on.
Name: Tahir (TAH-heer) Means: clean, pure
Nickname: Msamaki (m-sah-MAH-kee) like a fish – shortened to Maki. He only answers to either of these, never his given name.
Symbol: EPA - "handcuffs" law, justice, slavery
Sex: male
Age: young adult
Mark: -not chosen-
Rank: -unknown-
Mate: none
Cubs: none
Unique Traits:
1 – Smoky grey/white coat
2 – Black tattoos on face and tail
3 - possible others unknown for now
Appearance: Of average height and weight for a young lion his most obvious feature is his pale smoky grey-white coat and charcoal grey tattoos. He also has different coloured eyes, the right one is a bright golden colour, the left a vivid sapphire.
Personality: As a cub his favourite pastime was swimming in the built-in pool, earning himself the nickname Msamaki, ‘like a fish’. He was a lively and adventurous cub but he grew quieter and more withdrawn over time. Now free of the cage he is learning to be himself again, to leap and run and laugh.
Story: Born in captivity and bred selectively for his colour he was given to the local governor by the tribe as a gift almost as soon as he was weaned. Having been a lively and happy youngster despite his restricted lifestyle he adjusted to his new home in the governor’s private zoo fairly well. But he was kept alone and soon withdrew into himself, acting more like an adult than the adolescent that he was. He grew into adult hood with barely any contact with other lions apart from the infrequent visitors who passed through the governor’s hands. There was a family of snow leopards who he grew fond off but they were kept in a cage across the walkway and only a small section of his fence ran along theirs. Just as he was leaving cubhood behind the zoo was attacked by some humans and the animals let out. Fleeing his cage in the face of the screaming humans he escaped into the wild, where he has been wandering in search of a place to call home.
His tattoos are a result of his discovering that he was taken from his family on account of his colour. The governor had loved white and unusually coloured animals. So in rebellion against this he paints himself with the black tribal marks of his parent’s home. The tattoos need renewing every few months but he always keeps the same ones, never changing the design or placement.
*whimper* I really wana rp him. ;-;
