In late summer, it's often the time of year for animals of the forest to gorge themselves, fattening up and taking advantage of the bounty of fruit, nuts and ripening crops to the utmost in preparation for the long, cold winter ahead.
Faisan's no exception, and he's feeling daring enough, or just nice and hungry enough to finish off a whole picnic basket himself amid a peaceful clearing in the middle of the forest. Seems like he's making a day of enjoying the fresh air, with two more baskets to go, but for now, the fat pheasant simply delights in the pleasures of a well-earned nap, after a particularly filling meal.
