A revisit to one of my favourite drawings, this very detailed image was inspired in part by The Last of Us and it's beautiful depictions of humans falling into decay at the hands of the cordyceps fungus. I spent the last few weeks working colour into the image which was a low resolution photograph of an originally traditional image done with 0.3 mm ink pens. I used paint tool sai to colour it and bring it to life, illustrating the majestic beauty and diversity of fungi, and bringing this fungal wolf to life. It has been a while since I did something as ambitious as this and it's absolutely a massive file haha.
