I haven't done anything new in this series for a while and I thought it was time for another installment. Over the holiday weekend we, (meaning our friends) decided to have a game night. We heard that there would be a chance of snow later today but the probability was rather low. Kyel said that we should take the truck with the snow tires on it in case it came our way. After an early supper we picked up Lanu and Sinopay and started down the lake until going through town. Everything was closed, quiet and decorated for the season but there was still a decent amount of traffic on the roads.

Eventually we drove up the other side of the lake on the main highway until we got to our game night at Randall's place. Randall was a chubby raccoon that hosts our weekly game nights. He is one of two GM's that take turns running whatever game that we have running at the time. There is enough room in the driveway of Randall's place because its a larger property thats down on the lake. As Kyel and I, along with Lanu and Sinopay went to Randall's house. We looked across the lake to where our place was and could see some of the buildings, even the dock. However, the clouds looked thicker than they were when we left home about an hour earlier. We got inside and took our usual seats before getting started and we continued with an RPG that had been started about a month ago.

After pausing for supper we were gaming again, having a lot of fun trying to outdo each other with suggestive or silly comments. It was well after dark that I started to get thirsty so I went to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water and heard Kyel say from the other room.

"Sexy snack? Grab me a beer while you are in there...thanks. "

I go to the fridge, look out the window and see that its snowing heavily outside. It's coming down much heavier than the forecast said, looks like they were wrong about which way the snow was going to go.

" Wow! Its snowing quite hard out there!"

I hear several chairs shift and then the sound of footsteps across the room towards one of the windows as most of the group goes to look outside. Several comments of surprise are made because this wasn't expected but its rather awesome, a white holiday weekend! After a few more comments are made about the snow, I go back into the gaming room with Kyel's beer we return to our game. Then after about another hour Sinopay is in the middle of a scene where he's playing off of Kyel and suddenly, without warning he suggests we stop and go for a walk in the snow. Everyone looks at each other and without another word we all go to where our jackets and things are to get bundled up.

When we step outside into the cold we feel tiny flakes hitting our faces with a slight northest breeze blowing from across the lake. The snow is coming down quite hard and there's about 2 inches of it on the ground so far. By the looks of it it's been snowing for a while and we were so distracted by our gaming that we didn't notice it. We walked up an incline that goes from the house to the road, from there we go up a gently sloping hill that leads towards a ravine. We get towards the last two houses before the ravine, then the road switches back to go up towards the highway that goes in and out of the area.

It was at the last two houses before the ravine before we hear a yelp in surprise as Lanu got some snow put down the back of his jacket by Sinopay. Then Randall gets the same treatment and throws a snowball back at Sinopay who has decided to be a brat. Before long Kyel and I are drawn into the conflict and everyone is going back and forth. One of our human friends hides behind a light pole for a short time while his friend is getting a snowball in the chest from Randall. When a snowball gets thrown back at Randall he gets hit in the chest and makes a shriek like a little girl and exclains.

" Ahhh, my nipples!"

The choice of words and the high pitched girly voice that he shrieks in makes everyone laugh as the big Raccoon goes back at his attacker with a larger snowball than before. Meanwhile I'm standing under the light pole making a now snowball. I am about to go at Lanu and Sinopay who have squatted down in the middle of the road just up the hill a ways... I'm not letting them get off that easily for starting this fracas.

* Note - This artwork is 95% background as the characters were actually rather easy to draw. The hardest parts were the road, houses and christmas lights. Have a happy holiday everyone!
