A birthday/christmas gift for a close/best friendo named Thrack. Let me try and explain the emotional weight of this piece

The stag in the drawing is Thrack's best friend, who's unfortunately no longer with us. He served, and while he did he sacrificed his life for many others (civilians). When I was told this story i was super moved through to the core, as a person, that i wanted to somehow capture a moment i'd imagined in my head and pay some respects to both of these wonderful people. Thrack i've only met this year but he's changed my life for the better already and i love him dearly. Wherever we may go, the paths we may take, the closest to you will never leave you. <3
