#2: Glenn/"Frog": Chrono Trigger

I don't often talk about it, mainly as it was sort of a pipe dream that I never fully saw through, but in my youth I really wanted to gear my pursuits toward video games; primarily in the real of art/story and mainly in the realm of RPGs. Who knows. Maybe one day I'll still see that through, but it's a thing that I was very much into some years ago. Several factors or should I say video games got me into this but I think my earliest inspiration to wanting to develop RPG like games would be Chrono Trigger. While I played quite a few RPGs before playing Chrono Trigger and may like a few more then it (not many mind you, it's up there as one of my top favorite games) it was the first one that really captivated me and that was due almost entirely to the amphibian knight himself, Glenn.
I remember first trying it out and finding it okay... then out of the blue a anthro-frog comes out of nowhere and one-shots a monsters and I just thought "Ok... you have my attention" he arrives early, then promptly leaves and I spent the rest of the game wondering "Okay... when's he coming back?" Of course, I grew to like the game besides JUST Glenn, but he still remains my favorite aspect of the game. In addition to just being so unique, he's also the most emotionally gripping and in depth character in the entire game to that point that I really view him more as the game's main hero, or at least a far better one then the mute Goku clone we got stuck with.
While some of the characters placed high because they gained status through years and years of service that made me attached to them, this one came about from a pure, genuine love for this character. He only came about in one game, but made a big impact to me at a younger age. To me, Glenn is very much what I want in a hero and is one of gaming's best heroes in my opinion. Strong, emotional, chivalrous and with a dark, gloomy side that is counter balanced by a silly nature that never lets it get too serious, which is good as I mean, he's a giant, talking frog for God's sake! There was really no one else I could put for 2nd or even 1st place for that matter, but I think he's just a wee bit shy of top billing. For even as much as I like him, I don't think I could give him "greatest of all time" status... but he is close!

Chrono Trigger is my favourite game, and while Glenn isn't neccessarily my favourite character (Ayla wins that spot) He is the one who I think has the most emotional nature. His story line has actually made me tear up and I just love this so much.
Thank you for making this, it has truly made my day <3

You? A Chrono Trigger fan!? NO WAY!!! *slowly looks to Magus icon* lol don't get me wrong, I liked the other characters as well, in fact Ayla is a close second for me and probably for being the total opposite of Glenn ironically. She simple is what she is and has very little depth outside of that and is both badass and hilarious in that concept... hmm... urge to draw fat ass Ayla coming to me~
