History: A freelance mercenary and part time bounty hunter with a combination of an average past and a military background that was anything but. Corrine was born into middle class comfort on Katina, the second of three children. She had a rather average, normal childhood, never really having to face some of the situations and conflicts that often affect the early lives of other mercenaries. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this normal upbringing instilled a desire for a much more 'exciting' life, and as soon as she stepped out of high school she stepped into a recruiter's office for the Katina military.
However, she didn't want to be some mere line grunt, she craved more and subsequently joined the Spetznaz, the small, elite special forces organisation within the Katina military. While in basic training, she proved her skills as a superior marksman not just with rifles, but with any weapon she got her hands on, from sniper rifles to assault rifles, even rocket launchers and vehicle mounted weaponry. Naturally, this made her a perfect choice for sniper training, and after easily passing the marksmanship requirement tests, she underwent the training to become a sniper for her squad.
In addition to her long range marksmanship, she also trained to be brutally effective at close range. Even with no weapons at all, Corrine was a formidable fighter, able to wound or kill anyone she could encounter in hand to hand combat. She took up two forms of martial arts, one known as Savate and Pancreation. Savate is a martial art centering on punches, kicks, and bone shattering strikes. One combination move consisting of a punch, a kick, then another punch can yeild an instant knock out or even death if properly exectued. Pancreation focuses on locks, pins, and joint breaking holds; holds that can dislocate joints in mere seconds.
Despite her skills in combat, Corrine had a number of limitations. One of the biggest was the way she operated in combat. She prefered the solitude of being a sniper, and while she didn't mind working with a spotter or up to three other people, working in larger groups was something she wasn't too keen on, especially when she wanted to move out ahead but would have to wait for the others to either get ready or wanted to move at a slower pace.
Normally such wouldn't be a problem for a sniper as they tended to work independantly or in groups of two, but since the Lylat System was in a rather long lasting era of peace, there were few missions requiring a sniper's skills, and what few there were were civil matters where local law enforcement sharpshooters could handle things. Unfortunately for Corrine, this meant she was basically a rifleman in her squad and armed with a Dragunov rather than an AK-47, and was exactly what she was trying to avoid in the first place on joining the Spetznaz.
Just before deciding to take her leave from the military to try her hand in the more unpredictable yet much more 'adventureous' field of the freelance mercenary, Corrine was finally able to put her years of military and marksmanship training to very good use.
She was deployed to Fortuna where she heard of a rebellion taking place against the local government. On arrival, she met up with an old friend from the military, a fellow sharpshooter by name of Logan Callahan. The duo decided to work together as they had in the past, though this time as a lone sniper elemet. The mission was a simple yet high risked one...slip into a town held by the rebellion's main force unnoticed and take up a position overlooking an area where a high ranking rebel leader would be conducting a meeting in three days. Once he arrived, one of the two sharpshooters was to eliminate him. From there it would be a running fight to the exfiltration point, which due to the circumstances was a considerable distance outside the town.
The mission went well enough up to and through the assassination, but the exfiltration proved to be rather difficult. In the ensuing battle caused by the entire rebel military mobilising in reaction to the assassination, the sniper duo encountered an enemy helicopter gunship shortly after eliminating a squad of enemy troops. They managed to fight off the helicopter, eventually bringing it down though shortly after Logan was wounded in the leg by an enemy sniper. Corrine eliminated the sniper, and with no other option available she took Logan off the ground and carried him to the extraction point. Before they could make their exfiltration though, they encountered a mysterious person identifying herself as Lezella.
Lezella was a mercenary, though she had been hired by the opposing side and quite literally was standing in Corrine and Logan's way to the exfiltration point. Lezella challenged Corrine to unarmed single combat, and the vixen agreed. In the ensuing fist fight, Lezella proved herself to be quite the competent figther and an almost even match, though Corrine managed to get her arm in a painful lock. With her opponent pinned, Corrine forced Lezella to forfit the fight and let her and Logan pass, lest Corrine do more than simply pin and lock Lezella's arm.
With no other real choice, Lezella let Corrine and Logan pass, and after only another half mile or so of travel the duo managed to exfiltrate the city. On completion of their mission, Corrine and Logan set off for some rest and relaxation before continuing on their repsective paths.
Soon after returning to active service, Corrine once again found herself in the repetative cycle of military maneuvers, war games and training exercises with no 'real combat' either planned nor forseen. Tired of firing more rounds on the rifle range than in combat, Corrine took her leave of the military and struck off to find better opportunities as a freelance mercenary. Very early on she found that there were quite a few people willing to pay for her expertise with a rifle. Some were mobsters wanting someone to do their 'dirty work' for them, while others were government officials or law enforcement agencies needing certain criminals eliminated. Having no fondness for the mafia or the criminal elements of Lylat, Corrine took up offers that usually were 'legitimate', or at least were oriented towards taking down criminals, pirates, and other 'undesireable elements of society'.
Hunting down criminals and eliminating them wasn't the only way she employed her skills though. Very early on she came to realise that capturing certain people alive and bringing them in could potentially yeild more money than simply killing them, so Corrine found herself working as a bounty hunter just as much as a solider. Her tracking skills as a sniper very easily translated into tracking down her marks in the field, allowing her to catch even the most elusive of targets.

Tomboy-ish huh?
The idea behind her clothing, even though she is a lezzie, is actually to lure her bounties to her. Most of them are men, and she figures if she "shows off her figure", for lack of a better term, when she gets to the general area her marks are in, 9 times out of 10 they'll come up to her (to hit on her of course) rather than her having to find them.
