So Iv been re-watching Space Pirate Captain Harlock (1978) recently, I really like his design and his outfit so I decided to draw him.
It took me a while to find the 1978 version, there's so many versions of the series out there.
You've got the 1978 version, Captain Harlock - Mystery of the Arcadia, Arcadia of my youth, Endless Road, Harlock Saga, and 2 more.
(I don't know if Galaxy Express 999 counts)

Funny thing is that the creator of Harlock, Leji Matsumoto also did Interstellar 5555. Its a Daft Punk anime\movie\music video?? just with no voice acting.

Drawing this was fun, except for the coloring...
trying to figure out his eye and hair color was a nightmare but I think I got it right.
Not too proud of the background *sobs*
I think I made his neck too long...

I'm in a big mood for drawing 70s and early 80s anime characters I'll probably draw more in the future~!
