When a Smoosh Wolf gets smooshed, they're flattened. Under other circumstances (like being popped), he is a ghost. Being a ghost wolf doesn't make you dead, as reviving is just as easy as when flattened.
However, due to certain circumstances, some wolves might choose to stay flattened or as a ghost.
Juke's case is just not wanting to be a bother. Juke was always a wolf who preferred simple things, the occasional smoosh for him was fun (he is a smoosh wolf after all!), but he would rather chill out and let others have fun.
Others found it strange, some even bullied him for it, but he didn't mind.
This carefree attitude shows that being smooshed isn't all bad.
He even made friends with Jott, who was another outcast.
They've been best friends since.
