Cricket is ace/aro!!!
She's a big, dumb, buff sweetheart
She stands at 8ft1 and is in her late teens
Because she doesn't like to be burdened down with packs, her totem (bear) is represented by its hide- which is what her loincloth and axe handle wrappings are made of.
She's a tough fighter and will put herself in harms way if it means saving someone.
Brought up in a large close-knit clan, she is young and has only been adventuring for a few years.
Her nickname is part of a tradition in her clan-
They have a (mostly) friendly rivalry with eachother, and because each couple can only produce a child once every five years they put a LOT of effort into ensuring each child is peak fitness.
One child, decades ago, brought down a mountain lion on her own at the wee age of six and was given the nickname 'lion'
After that, parents began pushing their kids to bring down fierce beasts as a rite of passage,
and eventually the tradition grew to what it is today.
Each child is trained to be the very best. They are often able to (poorly) wield a weapon before they can stand.
To prove their worth, on the child's sixth birthday they are given the quest to bring down the most fearsome beast they can, which then earns them a nickname relating to that beast.
Fenvys reached six and her parents watched proudly as their strong daughter began her journey away from home to earn her name.
Not thirty feet outside of town she spotted a cricket hopping from rock to rock and, amazed by this tiny bug, she ran after it, caught it and squashed it.
The whole clan saw this and burst into laughter, as did Fenvys and her parents.
She still completed her journey and took down a grizzly single handed, but the name Cricket had already stuck.
To this day she still goes by the name Cricket
She's based a lil' on my leopard gecko- also called Cricket :'D
