the one on the left i got 3 years ago for $30, it has grown and the value of maxima clams has gone up a lot in that time (the cost of one same size as this was when i bought it has more than doubled) so that clam is worth well over $100 now
the one on the right is a crocia clam i got free in the local reef keeping club raffle, not a bad snag considering i spent $15 on tickets and i have never seen a clam this size go for less than $90
