It may not be dead now, but give it 5 to 10 years the fandom will more than likely end up no longer existing like so many other fandoms. And I have some good ideas as to what will kill it. 1. The fact that America's economy has gone to shit (and many other countries for that matter) and since money is hard to come by and jobs are harder to get now a days, people are forced to give up things like their favorite hobbies in order to be able to pay bills, taxes, and other important expanses. 2. Not enough Time with people going to college, trying to find jobs, and wanting to settle down, wanting to get married, and even wanting to have kids again some things will have to be sacrificed like hobbies. 3. News broadcasting networks like Fox and NBC depicting people in a bad light like furriers and so many other groups of innocent by standards. 4. Hate groups like religious extremists and NPCs attacking and destroying the lifes of innocent people that don't and never deserve it (if Fox and NBC aren't already doing that for them). 5. Evil corporate companies watering and dumbing down anything and everything they can get their hands on to sell low quality shows, dumpster fire movies, and poorly made shit products to the mass public. And 6. People simply loosing intrest in the fandom and giving up on what they use to have passion for and what use to make them happy for so many various reasons like loosing friends or finding something else they love more.

And reason number 7. Covid-19 and how the governments of the world have been handling it has only made a lot thing more difficult and miserable than what it needs to be. We can all blame China for that.
