In the Final Age, in the dusk of Ull's Dream stood the final stand against Dark Theron, the unbeatable tides of vengeance. Through the countless ages, through the countless Infinities, Dark Theron's mases grew, and its strength became unmatchable. No individual, no god, no army, no entity bearing any sentience could stand against it. And yet, in its final battle, was its origin.
The planet Theron had become embroiled in war. A great struggle of race, economics, and idealism. The alien Gods the Fa'Xhi had benevolently dictated the Human Race for eons, evolving them, guiding their technological advancement.
When the Fa'Xhi made its decision to move to new realms, the Human Race, a fierce race of warriors and imperialists, dreaded the aftermath of the departure of their interstellar brethren. Humans were a race of untamable insanity, of bloodlust unparalleled in all corners of the universe. And so with this panic, came hatred.
The Humans sought to enslave their gods, and with that intent, war was born. The Human Empire was unruly, even unto itself. The great Baron T'Lech rallied hundreds of nations to her cause, enslaving humanity into her army, at her will. Yet human will could not be extinguished.
The will to survive burned in all living beings. The Human Race fractured and fought among itself.
Great Thermal Cannons carved canyons, leagues deep, into the crust of Theron. Autorifle, thermal cannon, and genotheria were slung at one another. None could escape the bloodbath.
Through the chaos rose one, a hybrid of Fa'Xhi and Human, the legendary Ironess. Forged in the fires of war, imbued with the genes of evolution, the Ironess strode through the killing fields, untouched by the nuclear heat of thermal cannons and the death magic of genotheria.
She alone stood above the rest, looked upon the world that had wrought her, and bared her teeth in disgust. The writhing maggots enslaved to hatred and rage repulsed her, and she was loathe to be among their ranks.
And so the Ironess killed.
She alone could battle an entire planet. None could hope to oppose her. Shielded by an adamantine carapace, wielding the geneotheric fires of Creation, and endowed with the Mind of Omneris The Flesh Tree, she waged war. None could bear to be in her presence, their minds melting upon hearing her roar. None could stand before her fire, for they burned into oblivion.
Through the chaos she fought, and the Fa'Xhi grew to fear the Ironess, and engaged her in war. The Fa'Xhi, foolish in their complacency, thought themselves immortal and invulnerable. It was then she shattered their souls, scattering them through the cosmos.
And in their final moment, the impact of the Ironess and their power, that single black hole of hatred awoke the legions of the dead, those shadows of perception past death. Through this single supernova of hate, the legions of the fallen were given new life, as ghosts in the space between space. The Void Walkers, whispering in the ears of those who would listen, became one with the fabric of unbeing, existing outside the confines of time and space, locked in nonexistence.
There they exist, infinite and terrible, as they always have, and they always will, orchestrating the deconstruction of all within Ull's Dream
