YEAH!
Got my internet a few days ago, finally got some sort of routine going which keeps me super busy - work on commissions in the mornings, then go to my offline job, and then come home and see if I can't push an extra hour or two into the owed work if I'm up to it between gaming. It does feel like a slower process of doing things, but it's working for me to return to drawing and get warmed up for my projects. Plus it lets me have a fresh look at the pieces every time I pull them up, and just savour working on details.
This piece is a thank-you image for a friend of mine who was a massive help during my moving process. I'm going to see what I can do about getting it fully-rendered AND with a background - since I don't have a specific direction to work in, I feel like it's a great opportunity. Not only to get into doing shading, backgrounds etc (which I have SORELY missed!), but also to experiment a bit more again. The complexity of the characters in the image have made it take a bit longer to finish, but that's okay. It's nice to go a bit crazy on the fine details.
I hope to try to do a stream or something at some point, but with my current schedule and my weekends beginning to look less involved with my PC, I'm gonna be a bit unpredictable on that aspect probably even into 2018. I'm likely going to look into getting a bigger PC tower anyway, and beefing it up some more with the help of
djpuppeh, but we'll see how that goes. I think it would make streaming more tolerable and make the computer more co-operative on that front, in any case.
But yeah! I thought my watchers would appreciate seeing some activity, and some proof that I'm actually working on getting my plate cleared. I hope you enjoy this teaser, lipstick fans in particular especially :P
