A traditional foray into the world of metallic inks, which I wanted to play with for AzriaKnight's inktober piece. However, I didn't want to ruin their commission trying a technique for the first time, so I experimented with this first. the galaxy effect features a semi-metallic ink, and while it's hard to tell from the scan, it gives the piece a very nice sparkly sheen to it. I asked twitter for a species suggestion, and I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised when one of the top suggestions was serval.

I love the galaxy/star field effect! It's so good! It reminds me a little of an artist on d's I used to follow who did something similar, but also worked on black paper.
I think you've done a wonderful l job with the galaxy effect, keeping it loose, soft, and organic while still embracing the character. Keep it up! I'd be excited to see more space from you.
